Restoring what’s broken in the world around us

Jesus told his followers to pray to God, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.” This was and is an invitation to initiate the way the world is meant to be (where God makes all things right) with how it is now.

So we share our time, our talents and our money to make the world we live in more like the Kingdom of God. It may sound a little strange if you haven’t read that prayer of Jesus, but what we’re saying is things like poverty, hunger, homelessness, the environment, education are things God wants heal.

Jesus said that among the people that followed him he wanted them to not go along with society’s stratifications. He once said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

It’s our desire to serve humbly in Jesus’ name where we can. Shown below are some of our partner ministries as well as places were involved. We’d love to have you join us in restoring what’s broken.

Community Needs Assessment

Restoration Covenant Church completed the Greater Apple Valley, Minnesota Community Needs Assessment. Through our work with the Center for Community Impact Research, we more fully understand the specific needs of the people in and around Apple Valley. Having collected, compiled and reported the data, Restoration Covenant Church now strives to facilitate and foster a healthy relationship with our community through strategic and purposeful service.

Food on the First

On the first Sunday of the month, we collect food for families in need at neighboring Westview Elementary School. A social worker distributes the donations from an informal food pantry at the school. In addition to Food on the First, special food drives are organized before Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children, and we ship the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.
